# Recording and Playback

Recording and Playback let you capture facial performance data and review it later.

### Recording workflow

1. Start camera tracking.
2. Confirm that the 3D face view is stable.
3. Open the Recording Panel.
4. Choose the recording options.
5. Start recording.
6. Perform the capture.
7. Stop recording.
8. Save and review the session.

### Playback workflow

1. Open the Playback Panel.
2. Load the recorded session.
3. Play the session.
4. Scrub through important frames.
5. Confirm that motion, timing, and metadata are correct.

### Recommended checks

* Does the face motion match the performer
* Are expressions responsive
* Is audio synchronized if recorded
* Are video and data files present
* Does playback run without missing frames
