# Installation

1\) Download the files

#### 2) Launch Maya <a href="#launch-maya" id="launch-maya"></a>

* Open Maya on your system.

> **Important**: If you have previously run YanusReTARGET (Previous version) before installation, you need to fully close Maya and reopen it after installing the new version. Otherwise, simply restart Maya after the installation.

#### 3) Start the Installation <a href="#start-the-installation" id="start-the-installation"></a>

> **Recommendation**:\
> The default installation path is located at `user/documents/maya/YanusStudio/YanusReTarget`.\
> For future updates, it is recommended not to change this installation path to ensure compatibility.

#### 4) Run Plugin <a href="#run-plugin" id="run-plugin"></a>

* After a successful installation, a `YanusSTUDIO` shelf will be created, containing the `YanusReTARGET` icon. To run the plugin, simply right-click on the icon.

* Activate your YanusSTUDIO license, and start creating!
